Buddy's Story
Buddy's Care began with Buddy.
In 2014, my brother and I wanted a Golden Retriever more than anything. Like many Indian parents, ours were not ready to bring a dog home. But we were stubborn, emotional, and completely sure that our family was missing someone. After a lot of pleading, convincing, and childlike determination, Buddy finally came into our lives.
At first, he was the dog we had always wished for. But very soon, he became much more than that.
He became family.
Buddy had a golden heart, just like his golden fur. He was loyal, protective, emotional, and full of love in a way that words can never fully explain. He had this quiet ability to understand us without being told anything. When someone in the family was upset, he knew. When there was tension in the house, he felt it. When we needed comfort, he was there before we could even ask.
When my brother met with a serious accident and came back home in a wheelchair, Buddy stayed close to him like a guardian. He would sit under the wheelchair and remain around him for hours, as if he had taken responsibility for his recovery. If my brother and I fought, Buddy would jump between us and lick our faces until we stopped. If my father pulled my blanket to wake me up, Buddy would bark as if he was protecting me. And whenever I woke up from a nightmare, Buddy would come close and lick my face, almost like he knew I needed him.
That was Buddy.
He did not speak our language, but he understood love better than most people do.
He was not just a pet in our house. He was a brother, a protector, a comforter, and the heart of our family.
When we lost Buddy, a part of us changed forever. But his love did not leave us. It stayed behind in the way we cared for our other dogs, in the way we understood their needs, and in the way we started questioning what we were feeding them.
The name Buddy's Care comes from that love.
It is not just a brand name. It is a promise.
A promise to care for every dog the way we wanted to care for Buddy.

Buddy's Legacy
Towards the last days of Buddy's life, he stopped eating.
For anyone else, it may have looked like just a symptom. But for us, it was heartbreaking. Buddy was never just a dog in our home. He was family, and watching him slowly lose his strength was one of the most painful things we had ever experienced.
We took him to many hospitals and clinics, hoping that someone, somewhere, would be able to help him. We even travelled to IVRI, Bareilly, and met doctors there. But by then, his condition had become very difficult. Still, we kept trying, because when you love someone that deeply, giving up never feels like an option.
Eventually, we travelled to Delhi NCR, where we met Dr. Preetpal Singh.
He told us the truth with honesty and compassion - that we were late.
Buddy took his last breath there, and with him, a part of our family changed forever.
For a long time, that pain stayed with us. But a few months later, something happened that made us feel that Buddy had still left behind a way to protect our family.
Our other dog, Snoopy, became severely sick. The situation felt frighteningly similar, and we were scared of losing her too. But this time, because of Buddy's journey, we knew where to go. We took Snoopy to Dr. Preetpal Singh.
She was diagnosed with pyometra and needed emergency surgery. Dr. Preetpal gave her the right care at the right time and saved her life.
That moment changed the way we looked at Buddy's journey.
I truly believe Buddy helped Snoopy. Because of him, we met the doctor who later saved her life.
After that, Dr. Preetpal Singh became the trusted vet for all eight of our dogs. Over time, he became more than a doctor we visited during emergencies. He became someone we trusted with their health, their care, and their lives.
For me, when Buddy's Care began, there was no one else I could imagine guiding this journey.
The right doctor was always Dr. Preetpal Singh.
Today, he is not just the doctor who helped Snoopy. He is our pet family doctor - the vet we trust for all our dogs, and the doctor whose guidance gives Buddy's Care a foundation built on experience, trust, and real care.
Buddy may not be with us today, but his love still guides everything we are building.
